Cadence Walker, 13, of Gatesville started a superhero toy drive earlier this month after learning about officer Damon Cole.

Cole dresses up like a superhero and gives toys to kids with cancer in hospitals.

About two years ago, Damon drove up to Illinois and spent the day with a boy battling cancer.

Since then, he's visited seven states and hopes to eventually visit pediatric patients in all 50 states delivering toys.

On Saturday, Cadence presented the toys she collected from the community to Damon.

"To know that I can inspire somebody, especially a young girl like that to want to give up her own birthday party to collect toys, to give to me so whenever I do travel, cause usually I go buy the toys myself, and for her to do that is the biggest honor ever," Cole said.

"He's my inspiration," Cadence said.

Cadence said she plans to start another toy drive in the near future, focusing on girls.
