Upstate girl with severe condition challenges famous actor to dance-off

A 5-year-old girl with a severe condition won the hearts of many when she challenged a well-known actor to a dance off Wednesday.

Brayden Dame had her big moment with actor Alfonso Ribeiro, best known as "Carlton" on the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

Ribeiro is also a champion of "Dancing with the Stars."

Brayden challenged him during his visit to the Shriner's Hospital for Children in Greenville.

The 5-year-old is suffering from arthrogryposis, a condition that makes her muscles and joints very stiff.

Brayden wears braces on her legs and requires help to pick up certain items.

"She's a phenomenal child. She brightens our world and shocks us every day and challenges that she has and she overcomes them," said Joe and Dawn Dame, Brayden's grandparents.

Brayden has gone through several surgeries and her family is now raising money to get her a power chair they say will help her reach items she loves most.

"My toys and books that I can read," said Brayden.

Doctors say the chair would enhance Brayden's life, allowing her to maneuver the way she needs.

"There'll be no stopping me," said Brayden.

Brayden's family has set up a GoFundMe page[1]. They are hoping to raise $22,000 to help pay for her power chair.
